Stranded Kerala students reach Kasargod from Mangaluru; Minister welcomes them with sweets

Kasargod, Dec 22, 2019: Majority of Malayali students who were trapped in Mangaluru due to the CAA protests reached Kasargod on Saturday night. The state government had intervened and provided KSRTC buses to bring back the tudents. Minister E Chandrashekaran welcomed the students by offering sweets.

The state government had arranged 5 KSRTC buses to bring back the stranded students from Mangaluru. The buses left for Mangaluru in a convoy under tight police protection. Kasargod district collector D Sajith Babu coordinated the arrangements. Students studying in Kasargod colleges were not able to come out of the hostels due to curfew imposed in the area.
