Stones hurled at two different mosques in Bajpe, Manjeshwar

Mangaluru,Feb, 2015  : According to reliable reports, Bajpe Juma mosque president Muhammed and chief secretary Ismail Engineer have filed a complaint with the police; to the effect that miscreants threw stones at Juma mosque at Bajpe and at the Idgah which comes under its jurisdiction late night on February 14 and caused disturbances.

 

 

The stones pelted by the miscreants broke the window panes of the mosque and premises. Panambur ASI, Bajpe circle inspector and other police personnel inspected  the scene of the crime.

PFI - Popular Front of India, officials Athavulla, Majeed, Nazeer, Riyaz and others arrived at the place and informed the police officials to arrest the culprits at the earliest.   It is said a case has been registered in Bajpe police station and will be investigated.

Indications are that stones were also hurled at Al Bukhari mosque and Noorul Huda Madrasa at Bachalike near Kunjathur.   The mosque’s name board was torn down and its window panes damaged. Buntings within the mosque premises were also found destroyed.  it is being stated a  case has been registered in Manjeshwar police station based on the complaint filed by mosque president Abdurrazak.  The incidents are being looked at with careful checks as the matter is sensitive. Assurances are that there is no need for panic.
