St. Agnes College hosts national conference on CRM

Mangalore, Mar 15, 2011: The postgraduate department of commerce of St. Agnes College inaugurated a 2-day national conference titled “Relevance of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to India” on March 14, Monday.  

Allen C. A. Pereira, the former chairman and managing director of Bank of Maharashtra, inaugurated the conference. Dr. Sr. Marie Prem D’Souza, the principal of St. Agnes College, Mangalore, presided over the event. Dr. Mustiary Begum, the professor and chairperson of the department of business management of Mangalore University, was the guest of honor.

The conference aimed to create awareness of CRM and its relevance in academia and industry. People associated with various industries, academicians, and research scholars from all over the country are expected to participate in this event.  

The conference has been classified into various sessions. Sambamurthy, the director of IDRBT Hyderabad, will chair the first session titled “An Overview of CRM.” It will be conducted by Dr. Simon George, the professor of TAPMI. The panelists will be Vyom Upadyay of ICICI Bank, Mumbai head office; Pamela Suresh, the principal of Vasan Institute of Ophthalmology Management and Research; and Meghana of Tata Consultancy Services of Bangalore.  

The second session will be on relevance and scope of CRM in the service sector and the third session will comprise paper presentations from research scholars, academicians, and students, chaired by Dr. Aloysius Sequeira, NIT-K professor.  

A cultural programme by the students of St. Agnes Centre for Post Graduate Studies and Research will form part of the event.
