St Agnes College Lecturer dies in accident at Nantoor

Mangaluru, Mar 23, 2016: Twenty four year old Joyline Monis, a lecturer in Commerce at St Agnes College in Mangaluru lost her life when she was run over by a city bus at Nantoor on March 23, Wednesday morning.

Joyline was riding pillion in her sister’s Activa when tragedy struck. It is learnt, her sister all of a sudden lost her balance while the two-wheeler was on the edge of the road, landing Joyline right on the middle of the road.

A route number 15 bus which was passing that way moved over Joyline killing her on the spot. Her sister was however was unhurt in the accident.

Soon after the mishap, large number of people who gathered at the spot began protesting and even stopped vehicles passing that way.

The police who rushed to the spot managed to take control over the situation.
