Speeding truck fatally knocks down young bike rider

Puttur, March 10, 2016: A speeding tipper rammed against a stationed bike claiming the life of a young bike rider at Uppinangady on March 9, Wednesday.The deceased is Mohammad Hassainar (28). He was the son of Hirtadka resident Ahmed.

Hassainar was on way home in his TVS Jupiter Scooter when the mishap occurred. It is said Hassainar received a call and he stopped by the roadside to attend the call when the tipper heading towards Nelyady rammed against his scooter near the Aditya Hotel. Hassainar died on the spot.

The tipper though fled the spot soon after the mishap, the locals managed to chase the vehicle and stop it a little away from the accident spot . Still the driver tried to hide in a nearby plantation but was eventually caught hold of by locals.

The deceased Hassainar who was a driver by profession has left behind his wife, two daughters, a son and parents.

Puttur Traffic Police have registered a case.
