Speeding car fatally knocks down woman at Adyar

Bantwal, Oct 16, 2014:  A woman was fatally knocked down by a speeding car  at Adyar on October 15, Wednesday. The car driver was also injured in the accident as the car overturned after hitting the pedestrian woman.

The deceased has been identified as Sanjeevi (50).  The speeding Alto car was heading towards Mangalore from B.C. Road when the mishap took place.

Sources said Sanjeevi who was critically injured lay in a pool of blood on the road for nearly 15 minutes before a person named Sammad Sompady on way to Puttur in a car   took her to a private hospital but of no avail.

Sammad says though a 108 Ambulance happened to pass that way, it did not rush to the help of the injured pedestrian. He is also the Convenor of   M Friends What’s up Group.
