Speeding Scorpio goes berserk near Falnir; 3 injured

Mangaluru, Feb 16, 2016 :   Three persons sustained injuries  when a speeding  Scorpio went berserk and  rammed against the autorickshaw in which they were travelling, near the Platinum Theatre at Falnir on February 15, Monday.  After hitting the autorickshaw, the Scorpio also crashed against a Fortuner car parked nearby and a compound wall before coming to a halt.

The injured are Dayananda, the autorickshaw driver and passengers Sahiboon (60) and Shaheeda (37). They have been hospitalised. The mishap occurred when Sahiboon  and Shaheeda, both residents of Bhatkal who  were in Mangaluru for treatment were on way to Unity Hospital after having lunch at a hotel near Milagres.  The driver of the Scorpio, fearing public anger, has fled the scene of the accident.

Shaheeda’s right hand is fractured in the accident, while the other two have sustained  injuries on their head, hands and face.

A case has been registered by Kadri Traffic Police.

Instead of escaping from the scene and making the situation worse. It was better to surrender . The police have finally seized the culprits
