Mangalore, Aug 23, 2014: The Southern Railway (SR) will operate special trains to clear extra rush on the occasion of Onam and Ganesh Chaturthi.

Train No. 06306 Nagercoil – Mangalore Junction Special will leave Nagercoil at 9 p.m. on September 7 (Sunday) and arrive at Mangalore Junction at 12.45 p.m. the next day. Train No. 06305 Mangalore Junction – Nagercoil Special will leave Mangalore Junction at 2.45 p.m. on September 8 (Monday) and arrive at Nagercoil at 5.50 a.m. the next day.

They will have one AC 2-tier, two AC 3-tier, 12 Sleeper Class, three General Second Class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

Train No. 06801 Tiruchirappalli Junction – Mangalore Junction Special will leave Tiruchirappalli Junction at 7 p.m. on September 6 (Saturday) and arrive at Mangalore Junction at 9 a.m. the next day. Train No. 06802 Mangalore Junction – Tiruchirappalli Junction Special will leave Mangalore Junction at 12.30 p.m. on September 7 and arrive at Tiruchirappalli Junction at 12.20 a.m. the next day. They will have one AC 2-tier, two AC 3-tier, 13 Sleeper Class, two General Second Class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

Train No. 06003 Chennai Central – Mangalore Junction superfast special train will leave Chennai Central at 6.30 p.m. on September 4 and September 11 (Thursdays) and reach Mangalore Junction at 11.15 a.m. the next day (Fridays). Train No. 06004 Mangalore Junction – Chennai Central special train will leave Mangalore Junction at 2.45 p.m. on September 5 and September 12 (Fridays) and reach Chennai Central at 7.45 a.m. the next day. The trains will have three AC 2-tier, three AC 3-tier, 12 Sleeper Class, two general second class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

Advance reservations for the above trains will begin on August 23.
