Sorry Plight of Kasargod - Mangalore KSRTC Bus Service

The KSRTC bus service plying between Kasargod and Mangalore is far from people friendly. Not only has the number of buses to Kasargod decreased from 72 to 35, but also the buses never run on schedule. This has created a number of problems for thousands of people who have to travel to Kasargod regularly.

service was established just 10 months ago, thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Kerala and the Karnataka governments. However, the irresponsibility of KSRTC and Mangalore Regional Transport Authority has been a source of misery for the hapless passengers who rely on this bus service.

People are forced to walk to Jyothi in order to catch a bus to Kasargod. Most of the buses hardly arrive at State Bank bus stand. Instead, they give a stop near Jyothi before heading over to Bejai KSRTC bus stand.

A large number of people can be seen regularly waiting at Jyothi for a bus to Kasargod.
