Sitaram Kedilaya’s Bharath Parikrama Yatra reaches Mangalore

Mangalore, Oct 22, 2012: The Bharath Parikrama Yatra, a nationwide walking tour launched by RSS Pracharak Sitaram Kedilaya of Puttur, arrived into Mangalore on Oct 22, Monday.

A large number of people gathered at Pumpwell to welcome the yatra.

Kedilaya launched this yatra with the objective of encouraging rural development and social harmony. The tour will cover all parts of India, right from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, covering a total of 15,000kms in 5 years. The yatra was launched in Kanyakumari on Aug 9 and has completed 75 days.

RSS and Sangh Parivar leaders welcomed Sitaram Kedilaya with flowers. Dr. Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, Sharan Pumpwell, J. Krishna Palemar, Pradeep Pumpwell, M. B. Puranik, Bhaskar Chandra Shetty, Shakeela Kava, Sudhir Shetty, Monappa Bhandary, Shrikar Prabhu, Prakash, Purushottam Shetty, and Puneeth Pumpwell were present.

Those present joined the yatra and walked all the way to Bikarnakatte.

Speaking to reporters, Kedilaya said that the objective of the yatra is to end politicizing of issues and commercialization and to urge people to turn to spirituality.

Kedilaya visited two temples and planted a jackfruit sapling on this occasion.
