Mangaluru, May 21, 2017: Almost 4.5 crore people in Karnataka could get free rice due to the ambitious Anna Bhagya scheme launched by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah during his first cabinet meeting itself, said DK district in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai.

He was speaking after inaugurating Jana Mana,  an interaction programme   between the District Minister and beneficiaries of various government schemes at a function held at Town Hall here on May 20, Saturday under the aegis of the District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, Information and  Publicity Department.

 Continuing, Rai said for the first time in the history of the state the Siddaramaiah government has fulfilled all assurances given in its election manifesto.

Ivan D’Souza, MLC and Chief Whip of State Legislative Council, also spoke. Deputy Commissioner Dr K G Jagadeesha, Mayor Kavitha Sanil, Deputy Mayor Rajaneesh Kapikad, ZP CEO Dr M R Ravi, Karnataka Cashew Development Corporation Chairman BH Khader, Karnataka Beary Academy President  BA Mohammad Haneef, Mangaluru TP Chief Mohammad Monu, MCC Commissioner Mohammad Nazeer, Additional DC Kumar, District Information Officer B A Khader Shah and others were present.
