Mangaluru, Oct 05, 2019: Former chief minister Siddaramaiah has likened the administration of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Government to that of Hitler rule.
Speaking to reporters at Mangaluru International Airport on October 5, Saturday, he said despite the appeal for a minimum of Rs 5,000 crore relief package for flood hit areas, the Union Government has released just Rs 1200 crores after two years.
He also questioned Chief Minister Yediyurappa’s statement that the state coffers were empty. "There is no chance for it as taxes collected get accumulated in the treasury every month," Siddaramaiah said.
He was in Mangaluru on his way to a village near Kalasa in Moodigere taluk of Chikkamagaluru to meet the family of a farmer who has committed suicide after not getting compensation for flood related loss.
