Shri Rama Vittala Awards conferred on 12 achievers

Udupi, May 9, 2012 : Pejawar Mutt Seer Shri Vishweshateertha Swamiji’s Shri Rama Vittala Awards were conferred on 12 achievers at a grand award ceremony organized jointly by Sode Paryaya Vadiraja Mutt, Krishna Mutt, and Pejawar Mutt at Rajangana on May 8, Tuesday.

 

 

 

The awards were conferred on Dr. K. P. Putturaya for education, H. Gopal Bhat for literature, Sampaje Sheenappa Rai for Yakshagana, Ganjifa Raghupathi Bhat for art, Srinidhi Kamala Bhat for dance, Vidwan Ganapathi Bhat for Yakshagana, Sandhya Pai for journalism, K. Shrinivasa Banninthaya for medicine, H. Dundiraja for literature, Airody Govindappa for Yakshagana, Halladi Jayaram Shetty for Yakshagana, and Nidle Govinda Bhat for Yakshagana.

Shri Vishweshateertha Swamiji personally presented the awards to each achiever and introduced them. Each achiever was honored with a shawl, a citation, a bowl of fruits, and a cash prizes.

Besides, cheques were distributed among those in need of medical assistance on this occasion.

The highlight of the event included a Yakshagana prasanga presented by Kateel Shri Durga Makkala Mela.

Prof. H. Krishna Bhat delivered the welcome address, Shri Vishwavallabhateertha Swamiji delivered the introductory address, and H. N. Shringeshwar proposed the vote of thanks.
