Mulki, Dec 29, 2017: CCB Police have arrested two persons in connection with the recent cases of shoot-outs at Mangaluru, Kinnigoli and Mulki. Two pistols and seven live bullets have been seized from them.
Those arrested are Manoj Kunder alias Manju(35) of Chitrapu near Mulki and Chandrashekhar alias Tikki Annu (32) a resident of Pakshikere near Kinnigoli.Both are said to be accused in the shoot-outs that took place at Rajashree Jewellers at Kinnigoli on December 7, Sanjeeva Shetty Textiles at Carstreet and at the residence of businessman Nagaraj at Mulki recently.
Of the two, Manoj Kumar is an electrician and was working in Gujarat. It is learnt he had earlier attempted to join the military and had learnt to use a pistol while undergoing training.
On Thursday, he was taken to his residence at Chitrapu for a search operation. He is said to be an accomplice of underworld don Kali Yogish and was reportedly acting at his diktat.
Ploy to eliminate Kinnigoli businessman : Interrogation of the two has reportedly revealed that they had intended to eliminate a Christian businessman of Kinnigoli. However, police have not furnished any information in this regard.
