Bantwal, March 15, 2016 : Harish Acharya, a lecturer of a college in Mangaluru, who was accused of sexually harassing one of his girl students about a year ago, has reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence at Kalladka on March 14, Monday night.
Harish who was serving the St Raymond’s College of Vamanjoor had reportedly plunged into depression and was undergoing treatment for the same at Manipal Hospital.
The College management had however stood in support of Harish though students had staged a protest against the lecturer.
He was staying at Kalladka along with his brother and had ended his life when his brother was away.
