Reportedly, Nazeer Mohideen, the president of the Pajeer GP, assaulted Charlie Pinto, a bus driver, for not permitting his vehicle to move. Furious service bus personnel suspended bus services to Vittal and BC Road through Mudipu as a result of which a number of people were inconvenienced.

The protestors condemned the GP president for assaulting the bus driver and demanded that the police must take strict action against him. Speaking on the occasion, Santhosh Kumar Boliar, the member of ZP, said that the GP president, being an elected representative, should not have assaulted the bus driver.

Alleging that a bus driver is being assaulted for the third time in this region in the past 2 months, they demanded security while on duty.

Meanwhile, people were seen waiting for buses at Vittal and BC Road. Some of them even hired private vehicles to reach their destination.
