Separate International Terminal for MIA, Rs 100 Cr

Mangaluru, Sep 30,2017:  A separate, new terminal is being constructed at Mangaluru international airport(MIA),  exclusively meant for international passengers at an estimated cost of Rs 100 crore, said Mangaluru International Airport Director VV Rao speaking in a Dasara celebration organised at the airport.

The new proposed terminal will have a building on an area of 9000 square feet, two aerobridge, three conveyor belt and others. As of now, the airport has three conveyor belts and out which two are being used for domestic passengers while another one is reserved for international passengers. With the inclusion of three new conveyor belts, both domestic and international passengers will get three convey belts each, VV Rao added.

The airport will expand its runway soon and all possible preventive measures will be taken to ensure the safety and security in the airport in the future, he said answering to a question.
