Saudi Arabia petrochemical factory fire: Six from DK dead

Mangaluru, April 17, 2016 : A total of six persons have lost their lives in the fire mishap at the petrochemical factory at Jubail in Saudi Arabia on April 16. Earlier reports stated that three persons from Mangaluru died in the mishap but latest reports indicate that of the 12 killed six are from DK.

Those killed in the tragedy are Vincent Monteiro (37) of Adyarpadavu. He was working in Saudi Arabia since four and a half years. He was the son of late Lawrence and Christine Monteiro from Adyarapadavu. He was earlier working in  Mumbai  after his ITI training,

 Another deceased Kartik Sanil was the eldest of the two sons of Krishnappa Sanil and Sandhya from Mulky Kolnad.  He was a diploma holder in mechanical engineering  and was working in Saudi since three years.

The other deceased are Balakrishna Poojari from Moodushedde, Bhasker Poojary (45) from Kolambe and Ashraf(29) from Haleyangady.

Balakrishna Poojari who was a carpenter by profession and worked in Saudi since four years has left behind his wife, a son and a daughter.

Bhasker Poojary  who too was killed in the tragedy and has left behind a son and daughter worked in Lamina earlier. The other deceased person Ashraf was the son of late Abdul Khader and Jainabi couple  and worked in the company since three years.

Information regarding other deceased from the district  is yet to emerge.
