Mangalore, Feb 12: Prasad Art Gallery hosted a solo art exhibition called “Blue Waves,” in which the art work of Sapna Norohna was exhibited on Feb 11, Friday, from 4:30 p.m. The exhibition was dedicated to late B. G. Mohammed, a renowned artist of Dakshina Kannada.

Dr. Narendra Kamath, the dermatologist; Sanath Kumar Shetty, the architect; S. S. Nayak, who owns a partnership in SKS Group; and Shabbir Ali, the artist and son of B. G. Mohammed were the chief guests of the inauguration ceremony, which was held at the gallery. 


Shabbir Ali inaugurated the exhibition by painting a picture on the theme of “nature” in just 5 minutes. Dinesh Holla delivered the welcome address; and Sapna Noronha proposed the vote of thanks. Koti Prasad Alva, Ganesh Somayaji, and the students and family members of the late B. G. Mohammed were also present.


The public can view the exhibition till Feb 15, Tuesday. Splendid paintings on themes such as harvesting, Mangalore Dasara, beaches, feet of Bahubali, tiger dance, fishing, “Bhootha Kola,” women working in fields, and Kadri Kambala are on display.
