Mangaluru, Sep 25, 2018: Mohammad Sameer (35), a resident of Badaga Ulipady village near Ganjimutt, who was reportedly murdered and the body found at Devatanapatti in Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu on Sunday, was brought to his residence on Tuesday morning and later the last rites were performed at the Ganjimutt Jamia masjid premises. Hundreds of people had gathered at the residence of Sameer’s father Ahmed Saheb when the body arrived.
Sameer had left for Bengaluru from the Mangaluru International Airport along with his wife Firdous and three month old baby girl on September 13. On September 15, he had telephoned his mother to state he was in Bengaluru. However, later he was not in touch. On September 18, Firdous and come to her parental house at Majoor near Kaup and had told that Sameer had dropped them at Kaup and that he was in touch with another woman.
Sameer’s father Ahmed who grew suspicious had lodged a missing complaint.
Meanwhile relatives had rushed to Bengaluru in search of Sameer and had later proceeded to Devatanapatty following information that a body was found. There the body was identified as that as Sameer based on the watch, belt, shoes and clothes. It is learnt, the face was found burnt with acid so that it could not be identified.
It is suspected that Firdous along with her paramour had eliminated Sameer and that the two might have fled the nation.
Investigations are underway.
