Sadanand Gowda aims to make Karnataka number one State

Mangalore, Aug 13: Karnataka Chief Minister D. V. Sadananda Gowda arrived at Mangalore on Aug 13 Saturday at 8:15 a.m. for the first time after assuming the office of chief minister earlier this month.

 

He told reporters that being chosen as the chief minister has given him a great opportunity to work for the people of the state. Stating that there are no new projects at present, he said that all projects currently in progress will be completed as quickly as possible. He also mentioned his aim to make Karnataka the number one fastest developing state in the country.

Expressing his gratitude to the people of DK and the workers of BJP’s district unit for playing an important role in bringing the party to power within the state, he said that the people can expect another ministry expansion in the next few days. 

Regarding plans for the development of DK, he said that he will discuss the matter with the Mangalore Civil Corporation (MCC), the taluk panchayat officials, and others to create a development plan for the district. 

Stating that he will do his best to win the trust of the people, the opposition, and the officers, he explained his weekly schedule by stating that he will spend 3 days in Bangalore, spend 2 days in travelling around the state, and one day with his family.

Regarding his plans to contest as the MLA, he said he has not yet made any plans, but will take a decision within one month. 

DVS plans to visit Durgakshetra and Subramanya Temple on Aug 13 – 14. 

IGP Alok Mohan, Mangalore Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, District-in-charge Minister Krishna Palemar, Padmanabha Kottari, and many BJP leaders were also present.
