Sachin on a 12 month Mission – Learning while Travelling

Udupi, Feb 10, 2015: Here  is a young man who is on a unique mission – a mission  encompassing 12 nations in 12 months  and of course 12 challenges which he wishes to accomplish during that period. He is Sachin Bhandari, an adventurous young man who is having his roots in Udupi.

Presently based in Mumbai, Sachin had his primary education at St Mary’s School in Udupi for three years.  It was when he was undergoing degree education in Mumbai that the idea of learning while Travelling flashed in his mind.

 

 

Accordingly, he has set out from Mumbai on February 7 and as part of his first leg will travel in 25 trains for 25 days. Sachin was in his first destination, Udupi on February 9. He plans to travel to Kochi from Udupi and from there to Kanyakumari and Assam and will visit different parts of the nation for one month. He then plans to travel to Srilanka, Thailand, Chile,  Columbia and other nations.

He aims to learn something new in every place and every nation he visits and then pen his experiences  in the form of a book to create an awareness and  enlightening in the youth. He says he also wants to shun the general notion that travel is meant merely for fun and merriment and wants to prove that it can also be an opportunity to learn something new.

Sachin as part of his mission plans to learn rock climbing in Thailand,  music in Brazil, surfing in Chile, trekking in Peru and intends to  do a study on drugs in Columbia. His Costarica visit aims at studying the marine creatures on sea bed.
