Bangalore, May 12, 2015: The SSLC results are out. Udupi district has topped the state with a pass percentage of 93.37 in the exams conducted this year while Dakshina Kannada with a pass per centage of 89.35 has secured the eighth position. The second place has been bagged by Chikkodi which achieved 93.32 per cent results.

The total pass percentage in the state is 81.82. As usual, girls have outshined boys. If girl students registered 86.32 pass percentage it was 77.85 in case of boys. Gadag district stood last in the pass percentage list. As many as 36 schools had zero percentage results.
As far as Dakshina Kannada is concerned, the district has fared much better when compared to last year when it had secured 29th position in the state with a pass percentage of 78.77.
A total 8.56 lakh students had appeared for the exam this year. Vishwajith Hegde of Lions School, Sirsi has topped the state with 623 marks and Swathi of Indraprasta Vidyalaya in Uppinangady stood second with 622 marks. Vishwajith scored 100 per cent marks in Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Sanskrit.
