Mangalore, August 29: Mr. Ashwini Mehra, Chief General Mangar, State Bank of India unveiled various advantages for SME  projects in the SME meet held in Mangalore on August 29, 2012. Speaking on the occasion Mr Mehra said “SBI is the first choice for Small and Medium Enterprises in the country as we have the lowest interest rates and specials schemes designed for a variety of enterprises.” Mr. Mehra spoke about the new schemes that SBI offers to SMEs. He stressed upon “Why SBI for SMEs”.

 

 

 

 

State Bank of India has been playing a vital role in the development of small scale industries since 1956. The Bank has developed a wide array of products to meet the changing needs of the industry. It provides end -to -end solutions for the financial needs of the industry. To service the specific credit needs of small and medium enterprise (SME) the Bank established the Small & Medium Enterprise business unit in 2004.

Apart from the general working capital requirements (like Cash credit, Bill Discounting limits, LC, BG etc) to meet the day to day requirements and term loans to take care of investment needs for acquiring fixed assets, Bank has an array of products/schemes to cater to the enterprise specific require¬ments of SME Units both in Manufacturing and Trade and services sectors.

 

 

 

 

Sri Krishna Mohan Trivedi, General Manager (NW-II), SBI, LHO, Bangalore was the Chief Guest of the meet. Mr. Mohamed Ameen, President, KCCI presided over the function. Sri Raghuram Shetty, Regional Manager and Sri PR Acharya, Assistant General Manager were present on the occasion.
