Puttur, March 14, 2016: As per reports,  an incident of  a woman who lost Rs 55,000 when she was getting into a bus at Uppinangady bus stand is highlighted.


stolen It is said that Safiya, resident of Karvelu had gone to Uppinangady along with her mother-in-law to pledge jewelry for repaying a loan taken from Sthree Shakthi Sangha.


She kept the money in a pocket in her burqa. However, as she was getting into a bus, a woman cut off the pocket, took away the money and escaped. Though the public searched for the thief, she was not found.

A case has been registered at Uppinangady police station.
