Rs 25 lakh worth gold hidden in rice cooker seized; passenger arrested at MIA

Mangaluru, Oct 09, 2020: Customs officials of the Mangaluru International Airport have seized gold valued Rs 25,45,920 which was hidden inside the heating element of an electric rice cooker.
A passenger who was in possession of this cooker has been arrested by the police. He had arrived by an Air India Express flight from Dubai. The arrested person is Sumesh of Kasargod.
