Mangalore, Sep 04, 2014: Rishi, movie director, who gained fame after making claims of having married Kannada film actor Maithriya Gowda - who had recently claimed that she is married to Union Minister D VSadananda Gowda’s son Karthik - visited Dharmasthala temple on Sept 3.
Speaking to mediapersons at the temple, he said that he had married Maithriya on July 17, 2004 and was staying with her at a lodge in Sheshadripuram for four months. “She was then called as Shruthi Gowda.
She had taken Rs two lakh from me and escaped with the money. I got to know about her whereabouts only after watching her episode on television.
When I went to her home asking to return my money, she refused to pay and threatened me of consequences,” he said.
He said that he has filed a private complaint at a court in Bangalore. “I have nothing to do with Karthik and Maithriya’s case. I am not fighting against her with a wrong motive. I have come before the God to give me strength to fight for justice,”.
