Revised guidelines : MCC officials asks shopkeepers to down shutters

Mangaluru, April 22, 2021:      In the wake of a surge in Covid cases in the state and  following  the revised guidelines issued by the state government, MCC officials are seen on the streets directing all shops except those dealing with essential items to shut down. Many who were taken aback by the sudden development have expressed anguish over the government move.

The operation is underway under the leadership of Revenue Department Deputy Commissioner Binoy. The officials who  visited shops in and around the Central Market  enlightened the public on the new guidelines of the government.

As per the revised guidelines issued by the state government today, excluding grocery, fruits, vegetable stores, dairy and other shops selling essentials all other stores including mobile shops,  electronic showrooms, fancy,  book stores,  footwear stores and cloth stores have been asked to close down.
