Mumbai: August 18: Lately, Bollywood personalities have been receiving threat calls from gangster Ravi Pujari. Now, singer Arijit Singh also received a call from Pujari. However, the gangster had a strange request asking Arijit to sing for him.
Arijit, who shot to fame with the popular song Tum Hi Ho, informed the Oshiwara police station about the call. Senior officials said Singh has refused to file an official complaint in that matter. "Singh received a call from Pujari. Ravi Pujari asked him whether he will sing for him. It was not a threat call. Pujari only called him once and has not called since," said an officer from the Oshiwara police station.
The Oshiwara police have recorded the incident but no case has been registered since there was no threat made. Meanwhile, Singh took to Twitter to address the media. "It’s a humble request to media to stop bothering me about news. There are other important things happening in India," he tweeted.
