Ramanath Rai calls on Janardhan Poojary, seeks blessings

Bantwal, April 18, 2018: Congress candidate from Bantwal constituency and Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai visited former union minister and veteran leader B Janardhan Poojary at his house, and sought his blessing on Wednesday.

Rai will file his nomination on April 19. Rai’s visit Poojary’s house is important as there was no cordial relationship between them in the recent years.

In fact, Janardhan Poojary had broken down, after accusing Ramanath Rai of abusing him, during a programme, at Sri Brahma Baidarkala Garadi Kshethra in Mangaluru on December 28.

Due to poor health, Poojary has been resting at home for the last few months. Rai sought his support in the upcoming assembly elections.

Poojary, in turn, said, “The people of Bantwal are intelligent and will not heed to any false propaganda. People will vote for development and God will not abandon you (Rai)”.
