Ramakrishna Mutt holds seminar on education for B.Ed. students

Mangalore, Sep 22, 2011 : Speaking after inaugurating a seminar organized by Ramakrishna Mutt for B.Ed. students on Wednesday, Karnataka Bank MD P. Jayaram Bhat expressed his concern for the ever-widening gap between the rich and the poor in India and said that Swami Vivekananda’s message on nation regeneration should be taken seriously.

Dr. Mohan Alva, the chairman of Alva’s Education Trust, was the chief guest of the event. He spoke of the need to give importance to fine arts in the education system.

 

 

 

Jitakamanandaji, the seer of Ramakrishna Mutt, blessed the gathering and said in his benedictory address that Swami Vivekananda’s concept of education aimed at building men of intellect and character, which is the need of the hour.

Sameer Simha, the chairman of Silicon City Education Academy; Dr. Usha Vasthare, the founder of the Yogakshema Rehabilitation and Wellness Centre; and writer Sudhar Sharma presented papers at the seminar.
