Expressing his anguish that certain political parties were branding Hindu organizations as terrorist outfits, he voiced his opinion that nobody will be able to survive if Hindus become terrorists. He also opined that corruption at the political as well as judiciary levels is because of wrong government policies, lack of value-based education, and the general environment in which we live. He said that the only way to eliminate corruption is to make an action plan including awareness programmes and mass mobilization and to take the help of organizations, which are already fighting against corruption.

Expressing concerns regarding China’s expansionist policy, he said this country has always been attempting to influence smaller states and establish control over them. He said that the need to strengthen the north eastern border and establish a powerful transport and communication network was discussed during the meeting.

Speaking about the positive developments in India, he said that there is rising awareness among Hindus regarding various issues disturbing the peace and harmony of the country. This has been reflected in the large Sanskrit book fair held at Bangalore recently, which attracted at least 4 – 5 people. Other states are now showing interest in arranging such fairs for the benefit of the common people. Besides, a number of Kumbha Melas are now being organized in various parts of the country along the theme of social harmony. Stating that the Sangh work, in the form of Gram Vikas Yojana, Vishwa Go Gram Yojana, and others, is always positive although the government has suppressed it.

In response to a query, he said that RSS office bearers are sometimes elected through the democratic process. He also said that the ABPS is like an annual general body meeting that discusses national and social issues, reviews previous years’ programmes, and future courses of action. He said that specific subjects that concern the common man most and are the most threatening to national security were discussed.

Muralikrishna Hasantadka, the district convener of Bajrang Dal, said that around 1000 Bajrang Dal activists have provided security during the Sabha in various shifts.

They discussed various issues with RSS Sarsanchalak Mohan Bhagwat and Vishwa Hindu Parishad International Secretary Ashok Singhal. Reportedly, they even discussed issues such as UPCL and MSEZ.
