RM Group to organize mass marriage for 30 poor couples

Mangalore, Aug 4: The RM Group will organize a mass marriage ceremony for poor couples at RM Auditorium, Bellare, on Aug 7, Saturday.

Chairman of RM Group of Companies Amchinadka Abdul Khader Haji told reporters at a press conference held at Ocean Pearl on Aug 4 that Hindu, Christian, and Muslim priests will conduct marriage ceremonies for 30 poor Hindu, Christian, and Muslim couples on that day.

 

 

 

 

Mr. Haji also said that RM Group will give the bride Rs. 10,000 along with 8 pawans of gold, Rs. 3,000 for travelling charges, and food for 25 people invited by her. The groom will receive Rs. 10,000 plus Rs. 3,000 travelling charges and food for 25 people invited by him. The couples are required to submit a copy of their school certificate or birth certificate and a copy of their ration cards, said Mr. Haji.

Mallapally Ramachandran, the union minister of state for home affairs, will inaugurate the RM mass marriage ceremony. H. D. Kumaraswamy, the former chief minister, will preside over the programme. Home Minister Dr. V. S. Achary will lay the foundation stone for RM Auditorium. Ex-minister Mr. Janardhan Poojary will distribute the gold jewelry to the brides. Deputy Chairperson of Legislative Council Mr. Puttanna will distribute the cash to the grooms.

The chief guests will be District-in-charge Minister Krishna J. Palemar, Delhi Representative for Government of Karnataka Dhananjaya Kumar, and Secretary of AICC New Delhi K. B. Krishnamoorthy.

Mangalore Qazi Shaikuna Thwaka Ahmed Musliyar, Shri Dharmapalanath Swamiji of Adichunchanagiri Shaka Muttu, and Fr. Santhosh D’Souza will bless the couples.

Coir Board Member of Government of India T. M. Shahid, Abdul Khader Mohammed Ali, and G. M. Ejylal participated in the press conference.
