Bantwal, Mar 06, 2021:      A quarrel between a couple culminated in the death of the husband who was critically injured after his wife reportedly attacked him with  a sickle at Navoor village in Bantwal on Friday night.


Umavathi


The deceased is Sesappa Poojary (60). Police have arrested his wife Umavathi (52) on the charges of murder. Sesappa was a  labourer. The couple used to often quarrel under the influence of alcohol and  the  quarrel went out of control this week and  Sesappa was injured in the forehead reportedly after his wife attacked him.

Despite the injury, Sesappa instead of availing treatment slept at hime and was found dead on Friday. Bantwal Rural Police have registered a case.
