Puttur, Sep 18 2019: The Puttur Town Police have registered a case against Bajrangdal leader Raghu Sakleshpur and two others on the charges of delivering a communally provocative speech during the Mosaru Kudike Utsav function at Puttur on August 31.
The case has been registered following a complaint lodged by Sirajuddin, member of the Puttur town Committee Member of Popular Front of India. Apart from Raghu, case has been filed against VHP leader Janardhan Betta and Mosaru Kudike Utsav Samithi President Kadamajalu Subhash Rai.
The complainant has alleged that Raghu in his speech had said that not even a feet of land would be provided for Muslims to offer Namaz in any corner of the country if Muslims fail to chant Bharath Matha Ki Jai and Jai Shree Ram. It has also been alleged that such a statement has been made in order to incite communal feelings of the people.
