Puttur, Nov 17, 2017: A college student  from Vidyapura in Puttur who was  suffering from kidney failure,  died on November 17, Friday morning, reportedly due to non-availability of treatment  on time.

The deceased has been identified as Pooja.   It has been gathered that Pooja used to get dialysis treatment at a private hospital in Puttur everyday. On Friday morning, she was brought to the hospital as her condition had worsened. It is said the doctors reportedly refused treatment saying they were on strike and suggested that she be shifted to Mangaluru.

Pooja breathed her last while being rushed to Mangaluru in an ambulance.
