Puttur, Nov. 14, 2015: A gang of miscreants stab a youth at Goithottu in Puttur on Friday, November 13 .
The youth injured is identified as Areef. He is being treated at A.J .Hospital in Mangaluru.
Viswa Hindu Parishath and other Sangh parivar groups had called for a bundh on Friday, November 13 in the backdrop of the death of a VHP leader in Kodagu on the day of Tippu Jayanthi celebration. Also, in another issue of stabbing to death of a youth named Harish in Bantwal.
The tension prevailed in the region as the miscreants pelt stone at many buses and burnt tyres on the roads. To bring the situation to control the DC had imposed section 144 in the district for three days.
