Puttur: 13-year-old girl swept away in a stream; feared dead

Puttur: July 21, 2015: A student returning home at Nelyady village in Puttur taluk is feared drowned on Monday. Police identified the student as Anisha, 12.
The incident happened around 5 pm when she was on her way home and was crossing a small rivulet adjoining her house. Police said the strong gushing waters could have caused her to loose balance and was swept away.
Efforts were on to trace the girl at the time of filing this report.
A case of person missing has been registered at Uppinangady police station.
