Puttur: 10 injured in jeep-car collision near Kadaba

Puttur, May 21, 2016: Ten persons sustained injuries , five of them seriously in a head-on collision between a Toofan jeep and a car at Bajakere near Kadaba on May 20, Friday.

The injured persons have been identified as Shashikala (22), Vasanth (26), Jagadish (28), Siddique (31), Salaam (32), Shankarappa (65), Neelavva (28), Gangamma (35) and Yellamma (45).

A few people from Hubballi, all of them relatives were on a pilgrim tour in the jeep when the mishap occurred. They were returning after visiting Subrahmanya and Horanadu temple when their vehicle rammed against a Maruti Ritz car which was heading towards Kadaba from Uppinangady. A few people from Jogibettu in Uppinangady were travelling in the car.

The injured have been admitted to different hospitals.

Driver is the guiding force for all the travelers . See that the driver is comfortable and he need a proper rest at time of journey .Never compromise. A sleep for second while driving may become dangerous to all travelling

Accidents are very often these days. Its simple it mainly happens due to rash and reckless driving. Hope the injured recover soon from hospital.

Fast drive will be the for the last drive sometimes . never take risk unnecessarily. see haw many are injured because of somebody’s mistake.
