Publicity on Govt schemes launched in Udupi

Udupi, April 21, 2016: It is reported that, Priyanka Mary Francis, Chief Executive Officer of the Udupi Zilla Panchayat, launched a publicity campaign on the occasion of the ‘Rashtirya Samarasya Din’ at a function organised by the Department of Social Welfare here on Apr 20, Wednesday. She also flagged off the publicity chariot.

CEO Mary Francis said that it was essential to give information about government schemes and facilities to the needy from the weaker sections of society.   It was also incumbent upon people to take advantage of the schemes launched by the government for their benefit, she said.

Srinivas Rao, Deputy Secretary of the zilla panchayat, and H.S. Premnath, Deputy Director of Social Welfare, were present. Girish Navada and Vishwanath Shetty of Karavali Kala Team presented a street play.
