Speaking to reporters at Circuit House at Bannanje,  Gowda said  there was a need to sensitize the people on the project by the  ministers, elected representatives and officials.

On the defeat of BJP in the Nanjanagud and Gundlupete bye polls, Gowda said  the  defeat has in no way  affected the prestige of the party and will also not affect its future prospects.

Referring to the Kambala Bill, Gowda who is also the former chief minister said he would meet the President  and try to secure his nod for the Bill which has already been reviewed by the Departments of Home, Environment, Law and Culture.

District BJP Chief Mattar Ratnakar Hegde and others were present.
