Mangaluru, Sep 22, 2016: Food and Civil Supplies Minister U T Khader announced that double fortified salt will be distributed under public distribution system (PDS) from January 2017.

Addressing media at Circuit house today September 22, Thursday he said that, civil supplies department has decided to distribute salt from January. Each family will be provided two kg of salt.

The bio metric coupon system for procuring food grains and Kerosene under Public Distribution System will be fully fledged from October 1. Point of Sales (POS) machines will be installed by end of December in all ration shops with computarized voice to know the exact quantity of ration.

Regard to the Cauvery water dispute UT Khader said that he will abide by the decision of the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah during the special assembly session convened in Bengaluru on Friday. Khader wanted the Central government to come to the aid of the State Government, by filing an affidavit before the Supreme Court.

BJP party unvieled their real face by boycotting all party meeting chaired by Siddaramaih. All party meeting was the sign of solidarity but BJP proved their adamant attitude, he added.
