Protest against moves to replace Tulu movie by Telugu film in city theatre

Mangaluru, Sep 25, 2017:  Tulu film producers, directors, artistes as well as representatives of various Tulu organisations are up in arms against the moves of a city theatre owner to permit screening of a Telugu movie even as a Tulu movie was being  screened in the theatre. On September 25, Monday,  all of them staged a protest in front of the theatre and voiced their strong protest.

 

 

 

 

The theatre was screening Tulu movie ’Are Marler.’ In the meantime, there was news that a Telugu film will be screened from tomorrow resulting in the protest. Following this, the theatre owner has reportedly agreed to continue screening Tulu movie.

Tulu film personalities Devadas Kapikad, Arjun Kapikad,  Kishore D Shetty, Suhan Prasad and others participated in the protest.
