Mangalore, August 12: Prof P S Yedapadithaya, Registrar(evaluation) Mangalore University has inaugurated the St Joseph College of Management, Business and Administrative Studies at Jeppu on Thursday, August 12.

Speaking after inauguration function held at the Centenary Memorial Hall, Jeppu, Yedapadithaya appreciated the St.Joseph’s Group of institutions effort in helping weaker sections of the society by making education affordable. St. Joseph College, Jeppu, the eighth institution being run by St Joseph group, will give more prominent on providing quality education, he said. Highlighting BBM and B Com courses in the St Joseph College, he said students who complete their degree in BBM and B Com have great employment opportunity in the national and international market.


In his presidential address, Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangalore, said that most of the educational institutions functioning in malnad region were established by the missionaries. The students have to follow three goals like quality, quantity and equity in their life. The three goals will help them to learn how to live and lead the life with values.


A website www.stjosephcollegemangalore.com depicting the details of college was launched by Rector of St Joseph seminary, Fr Joseph Martis on the occasion.



Principal of St Joseph College, Prof Nivedita, Fr Eric Crasta, Secretary of Catholic Board of Education, Fr Wilson V D’Souza, and correspondent, Fr J B Crasta, were also present.
