Priyanka not afraid of Modi, clarifies Oscar

Udupi, April 15, 2014:  Priyanka Gandhi is not afraid of Narendra Modi. In fact the Congress had no plans of fielding Priyanka this time,” clarified Union Minister Oscar Fernandes.

Speaking to reporters here on April 14, Monday, Oscar said there is no need for anyone to fear anyone in a democracy. The Congress has a target of winning 28 seats in the state. “We will be happy if we win 20 seats. But are optimistic of winning at least 24 seats,” said Oscar.

Reacting to Modi’s  allegation that late prime minister Indira Gandhi who had once won from Chikmagalur had done nothing,  Oscar said “Modi should have been in politics during Indira Gandhi’s time. Modi is ignorant about history nor is he aware of the hard works put in by Congress.”

To another question of some rowdy elements seen in campaigning along with CM and Home Minister, Oscar clarified by saying“In politics there will be many persons around. We cannot say this is wrong.”
