She was speaking after inaugurating a two-day national seminar Spandana "Voices of the Vulnerable" held at Roshni Nilaya College here on  Thursday, February 11. Continuing her address, Noronha questioned as to what kind of social transformation one can expect if  discrimination prevailed in the higher education field.

The benefits of development should be equitably accessed by all sections of the society, she said adding that the  social exclusion or marginalization of the vulnerable sections is disturbing.

Jennis Mary who also spoke said one needs courage and analytical skills to deal with  the vulnerable apart from a positive mindset.

Principal of  Roshni Nilaya Dr. Sophia Fernandes, Dean MSW Rameela Shekar, student representatives Melora and Aishwarya were present.
