President Ram Nath Kovind presents National Award to SDM Mangala Jyothi Integrated School

Mangaluru, Dec 04, 2017 : The SDM Mangala Jyothi Integrated School at Vamanjoor managed by The Society for Welfare of the Disabled has bagged the “National Award for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan)-2017" in recognition of its activities aimed at promoting inclusive education to the children/persons with disabilities .
On behalf of Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade, the Award was received by A Rajendra Shetty, Secretary of the Institution from President of India Ram Nath Kovind at a function held at Delhi under the aegis of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment on the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3, Sunday.
Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Thaawarchand Gehlot and other Union Ministers were present on the occasion.
