A day would be set aside to do field work and check the functioning of all generators in all power stations in the constituency. The work of restoration of the remaining poles and transformed would be completed in a week. “I have directed the officials of MESCOM to take all precautionary measures for the monsoon,” he said.   The work to cut off branches of trees which might fall on transmission lines due to rains and winds during monsoon had already started in the constituency and would be completed within a week, Mr. Madhwaraj said.

Earlier, MESCOM officials gave details of 24x7 telephone numbers for any complaints related to power supply.  The numbers are: 2520313, 2536220 and 2536221 in Udupi, 2573699 in Manipal, and 2561066 and 2560166 in Brahmavar.
