Potta team conducts retreat at Holy Cross Church, Kulshekar

Mangalore, Feb 26: A team from Potta, under the leadership of Fr. Augustine Vallorran, the director of Divine Retreat Centre in Potta, will begin preaching the Bible at Holy Cross Church in Kulshekar at 9:00 a.m. on Feb 26. Over 3000 people from parishes all over Mangalore are participating in this retreat, which was inaugurated at 11:00 a.m.

In his address, the bishop spoke about the effect of the word of God on human beings. He also congratulated Fr. Vallorran for constructing an exclusive chapel at Potta for Konkani-speaking Christians.

Br. Joel Lasrado of Bejai, who has been preaching at Potta for the past 18 years, delivered a sermon at 10:00 a.m., after which Br. Vincent began the praise and worship session.

More people will start pouring into the gates of the church as the retreat progresses. The retreat will conclude on Sunday at 5:00 p.m.

The team is accompanied by Maria Sangeetha, Br. Jude Goveas, Santhosh, Manisha Mathaias, Ajay, and others.

Fr. Valerian Pinto, the parish priest of Kulshekar; Fr Arun Lobo and J. B. Moras; and the Parish Pastoral Parishad have invited everybody to participate in this retreat.
