Mangaluru, April 14, 2016 : Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is answerable to the people of the state as to why his son Dr Yathindra had entered into an agreement with the Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru for setting up a super speciality lab and diagnostic centre in the hospital premises, said senior Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary.
Speaking to reporters here on April 13, Wednesday, Poojary also stated that any such contract would be a blow on the image of the party and should be cancelled.
Poojary’s demand comes in the wake of reports that Matrix Imaging Solutions of which the CM’s son was a partner had entered into an agreement with Victoria Hospital.
The senior Congress leader also states that rules do not permit the CM’s family members or close relatives to enter into agreement with any government firm. He even demanded an apology from the CM over the issue.
On the appointment of Yeddyurappa as the State BJP President, Poojary said it would be better for the leader to come out of his dreams of becoming the next chief minister of the state.
Mahabala Maarla, former mayor, Kallige Taranath Shetty, TK Sudhir, Arun Coelho, Congress leaders were present.
